Following this consultation, your specialist will curate a selection of tailored charter options along with proposed itinerary concepts, allowing you to review and consider each at your convenience.
Once you have selected your preferred yacht and destination, your specialist will place a provisional hold on the vessel for your chosen dates. This hold is typically valid for up to two weeks, allowing sufficient time to finalize arrangements. During this period, a formal charter agreement will be prepared for signature by all relevant parties, including yourself, the yacht owner, and the managing representative overseeing the vessel.
Upon execution of the contract, a deposit is required to confirm and secure your booking. Payment terms are generally structured in either two or three installments, depending on the yacht. Under a three-payment schedule, the total charter fee is divided into 25%, 25%, and 50%, with the initial deposit due upon signing, followed by subsequent payments due 90 and 60 days prior to departure. Alternatively, some charters operate on a two-payment structure, requiring 50% at contract signing and the remaining 50% due 60 days before the charter commencement date.
As you prepare for your charter, your specialist will work closely with you to refine every aspect of your journey. This includes developing a customized itinerary, coordinating hotel accommodations if needed, assisting with travel insurance arrangements (should you choose to obtain coverage), and organizing seamless airport transfers.
In advance of your departure, you will be asked to complete a detailed preference sheet, which allows your crew to tailor the onboard experience to your specific needs and expectations. This document covers everything from dietary requirements to preferred activities and daily routines. Approximately two weeks prior to your charter, you will also be introduced to your crew, ensuring clear communication and a well-prepared, personalized experience from the moment you step on board.
